Recipe #5

Hello again everyone! Our last recipe for July and a quick turnaround on this one if you are playing along.  Wednesday August 4th Midnight GMT is your deadline for sharing your creations with us using this recipe, or any from July, to be eligible for the draw to win a prize from our sponsor this month ATDML. Our chefs had great fun with the inspiration this week and there is plenty to feast your eyes upon, all inspired by the GLEE poster suggested by Mel.

Hope you will join us and be inspired to create a card, a layout, or something completely different.

Recipe #4

Welcome to this weeks inspiration soup fans - the front over of a book one of our chefs recently read. With the summer holidays upon us many will be reaching for a novel or two to pack into our cases for some relaxing in the sun. If you are a Twilight fan, we recommend these novels by Rachel Vincent which tell the tale of a headstrong female Werewolf with a sprinkling of romance thrown in. They are easy to read and with a great storyline they make perfect summer holiday novel. Will you be inspired by the yellow, grey, black colour scheme of this book cover? Or perhaps the grungy distressed edges will draw your attention? Is there a book in your own collection whose front cover could kick start your creative juices flowing this weekend?

Take a look at the cards, layouts and ATCs created by our Chefs this week, and let us know what you create. Next week will be our final recipe for July and all creations inspired by any of our first five recipes will be entered into the draw to win a prize from our sponsors A Trip Down Memory Lane. Leave a comment on the relevant post - can't wait to see what you all create.

Until next week!!

Recipe #3

Album covers are always a good source of design inspiration, like this one we have used as our Recipe number 3!  The masses of white space with just the small band of colour really draws your eyes to the 3 photographs down the side.  See how members of the DT have used this layout as inspiration for their projects this week, and don't forget to show us your interpretations (not just because we're nosey but also for a chance to be entered in the prize draw sponsored by A Trip Down Memory Lane)

Recipe #2

Most of us who like to craft have dabbled in more than one form of creative past time over the years, and more often than not, we've bought the book to show for it. This week we are using the Passion For Patchwork book cover as our inspiration. Our challenge for you is to do the same, use the cover as design or colour or theme inspiration for your project.
Don't forget :- we love to see what you've been up to, just leave a link in the comments and we'll enter you into this months draw, sponsored by
(check in later this week for more details about ATDML)
Here's what the Cooks came up with this week.

We had some fabulous entries last week and are so looking forward to more of the same :)

Recipe #1

Welcome to the first Chicken Soup challenge, we're so pleased you've come to visit. As there are 5 Fridays in July there will be 5 recipes posted this month. Everytime you play along your name will be entered into the monthly prize draw.
Since the world has been gripped by Foot ball fever these past few weeks, our recipe for this week is based on this Coca-Cola Fifa World Cup advertisement. The challenge is to take inspiration from the image and use it as a springboard for your creativity.
Here's what members of the Chicken Soup DT came up with.

Looking foward to seeing what your take is on Recipe #1.
