Recipes 43 & 44

A double posting today after a very busy couple of weeks for most of us on the ChickenSoup team, so apologies first for our lack of inspiration, but hopefully this will make up for it.

Recipe 43

We have two examples for this recipe, one from our May guest designer Sue.

And a layout from Kate inspired by the colours.

So how will that image inspire your next creation? We hope you will choose to share it with us here, or blog about it and mention ChickenSoup.

Next up a recipe found for us by Annette.

Her illustration comes in the form of a lovely card.

Christine also brings us a lovely card this week.

And finally for this week another card from Kate feauring some fluttery stamping!

Time to dig out your green or stash items with wings... we can't wait to see what you create. Thanks for joining us a again and we will see you again next Friday.

Recipe 42

Another Friday means another ChickenSoup recipe, only it's Sunday and the blog post we thought we had scheduled to post was indeed only saved as draft!! Sorry folks, good job we are better at inspiring and creating than we are with technology!

So without delaying any further, our recipe inspiration for this week.

Our guest designer Sue joined us again this week and created this fun card.

Kate created a card along a similar theme funnily enough, both designers inspired by the colours this week.

Christine made this lovely flower for her project - more details about it's construction can be found on her blog.

And finally for this week a super tag from Alana.

Thanks for joining us once again at ChickenSoup, see you again next week!

Recipe #41 - Welcome Sue!

Apologies for the delay, some of you may have also experienced some problems with blogger but we are all back to normal now and pleased to introduce our guest designer for May Sue Jones. Sue won our challenge to Guest DT with us for a month and we are thrilled to have her!

Sue joins us almost every week at ChickenSoup using the recipes to inspire either a layout or more often a fabulous card. Find more of her work on her crafty blog.

So without further delay let us share with you the real sweet treat we have for this weeks recipe.
How good to they look? Christine, who found our inspiration image this week created this fab project.

Ann was inspired by the soft colours to create this page using Websters pages.

Kate shares a sweet card with us all.

Sue created a layout of her eldest inspired by the colours in this weeks recipe.

So there you have it for another week, we hope you have fun crafting, and as always would love for you to share your work with us. Please click on the link tool and follow the simple instructions! See you all again next week when we bring you a Cath Kidson style inspiration!

A minor delay

We seem to have lost the last couple of days of blogger history and as such cannot get to our examples this week to share with you. As soon as we resolve this your next recipe will be available for inspiration. Apologies for the delay.

Recipe #40 - Welcome to May

Can you believe we are in May already?! I know we can't, the year seems to be rushing by, but with is comes the summer so it's not all bad! Our recipe today is slightly cooler toned in colour after a few bright ones. Let see how much fun you all have with this one, courtesy of ChickenSoup chef Annette.

Annette gave us a lovely card inspired by the image.

Alana also made a lovely card this week, inspired by the colours and lace effect.

It seems cards were popular from the DT this week, here's another lovely example from Christine.

Last example from this week as a layout from Kate, based on the colours of the recipe this week.

So there you have it for another week. Our guest designer for May will be joining us from next week - we look forward to seeing you then!

A Royal Recipe #39

Well unless you have been buried under a huge rock these last few weeks you will be aware that there is a Royal Wedding today, indeed they may already be wed by the time to read this! So by way of a little celebration to the Prince and his new Bride we bring you a Royal Wedding inspired recipe for today. Be it the Union Jack bunting, the celebratory theme, the great outdoors or an opportunity to scrapbook what you did today we hope you feel inspired to create and to share those creations with us here.

Lets see what Royal creations our team came up with.
First up, a Union Jack bunting layout of the great British seaside from Ann.

Next up Christine shares these cute bags she made for a recent swap, how cute are these?!

Alana was inspired by the bunting these week also to create the cutest celebration card!

Kate has prepared a layout all ready to add her photos from today on when she returns from her celebrations.

And closing the DT examples for this week Annette shares this "less is more" card featuring cute button adorned bunting.

We hope you have a lovely day today whatever you do and look forward to seeing your inspired creations!! See you again next week when we start our May recipes and introduce you to our guest designer for the month!

GOOD FRIDAY - Recipe #38

Good Friday, and we all hope that is is a good one for you all! Are you working still today? Have the day off? Planning to enjoy a little rest and relaxation in the sunshine? It certainly is better photography weather and many of our designers will be busy snapping away this weekend that's for sure! Whatever you do we hope you have a smile on your face at the end of your day and maybe a little time left to indulge in some SOUPer inspiration.

Ann provided the inspiration this week after stumbling across this stitched journalling block image. Do you have any suitable lined paper/graph paper to use for this challenge? Or maybe the stitching will be your inspiration? Please enjoy the DT examples provided to inspire you a little more.

Christine shares a LOVEly card with us this week.

A fabby scrapbook layout of her son from Kate this week.

Annette shares some warm thoughts on this card.

And Ann's layout uses Bo Bunny Ad Lib lined paper for this fun page.

And you just about have enough time to enter our May Guest DT Competition which ends at midnight tonight. Just check out this post. Happy crafting and a very Happy Easter to you all
