Recipe #22

Welcome back again chilly ones! Brrr we certainly have seen a fall in the temperature here in the UK with several places experiencing the white stuff and so we hope you are warm and safe this Friday as we bring you our final recipe for November. Are you drooling much?! How tasty do these treats look?

Our designers examples this week demonstrate just how different projects can turn out and it's almost hard to see how they all started from this one image.

Christine created this cute bunting inspired by the colours of our image.

Kate had similar sweety photos to scrap in her double layout below.

Clare created a pretty card for us this week - Just for you!

Finally this week Mandy replicated the colours from the image in her home decor item.

We'd like to thank
our sponsor for the month. They will be making someone's Christmas for sure with a little something for the lucky winner of this month's prize draw.
As always leave us a comment with a link to your card, layouts, project which has been inspired by the recipe above and we'll do the rest!!.

Finally, don't forget to pop back at the beginning of December as we share our first day of Christmas inspiration!! You won't want to miss it!

Recipe #21

[noun]
a. A liquid mixture, usually of a solid pigment in a liquid vehicle, used as a decorative or protective coating.
b. The thin dry film formed by such a mixture when applied to a surface.
c. The solid pigment before it is mixed with a vehicle.

So there we have it - an official definition of paint, the substance featured on our recipe for this week. If it isn't the paint that grabs your attention this week, maybe it will be the shocking pink or vibrant turquoise blue, maybe the smiley face? Or will it be the arrows that kick-start your next project.

Let's look at what our cooks created this week.

Christine's layout:
Both the colours and the inky/painty feel coming through in this fun page.

Annette's card:
Gets us in the festive spirit with a touch of sparkle and a funky block title inspired by the recipe.

Ann's Layout:
More than a touch of the colour inspiration coming through in Ann's page along with a block title
Kate's Layout:
It's clear to see that inspiration came from numerous places on this week's recipe when you look at Kate's fab creation!

We'd love to see your creations inspired by these projects and you can be in with a chance to win a prize from our sponsor this month

Looking forward the team are busy creating for the last November recipe (#22) next Friday and then 12 days of festive inspiration is coming your way as the ChickenSoup design team along with some extra special guests bring you 12days of inspiration for the holiday season. Recipe #20

It has been a most blustery day in most parts of the UK today and there is no mistaking that the weather has taken a wintery turn. You'll be pleased to know we are here this week to brighten your day with a warm autumnal recipe for your to kick start your possibly chilly mojo this weekend. Forgive the weather, snuggle down indoors to some serious crafting time and see where our 2nd recipe for November takens you.

Our design team drew inspiration in a variety of ways but the tree and fall leaves certainly inspired more than a couple of our examples this week.

Recipe #19

Hullo again dear friends, have you all recovered from last weeks Trick or Treating sugar rush?

This week we're using Kate's photo of her pumpkin as our inspiration, will you choose the warm autumnal colours or use it as inspiration for your own Halloween photographs?

Recipe #18

Boo! Hope we didn't scare you on this Halloween Friday!!. You may be surprised that our recipe for this week has nothing to do with the time of year, but instead is a rather different album cover for you to draw inspiration from. Mel supplied this one for us and was attracted to the quirky Picaso effect.

Many of the design team have taken the patchwork overlay as their inspiration this week. Will that be what draws your eye? Or maybe the colours used? Possible you may choose to extend your photo freehand and get a little creative that way?
What ever you decide to do be sure to post a comment and share your creations with us. As always you will be entered into our monthly prize draw to win a little something SOUPer!!

First example for you this week is from Annette who created this pretty patchwork effect card.

Next up Mandy who kept with the season to bring us this stunning piece of art!

A cute layout from Lou inspired by the colours from the album cover.

In Christine's fun page we see the glasses and the overlaying squares theme clearly showing through.

We hope lots of new people will be joining in with us this week following our feature on page 6 of Issue 50 of The Scrapbook Magazine. Don't forget if you manage to create a little something with each of the October recipe's you'll get an extra entry into the monthly prize draw! Deadline for all October inspired creations in midnight GMT on Wednesday November 3rd 2010, and the winner will be announced on Thursday 4th.

That's all for this week - have a spooky weekend and we will see you again next week, or throughout the week on Facebook. Find us by searching for ChickenSoup DT!
