Recipe #10

Another month roles by and we see ourselves in September already. The month of returning to normality, back to school for the children in the UK, new uniform, new stationery, and maybe new craft supplies for us? There is certainly plenty out there to chose from, and why not use some of this to make some cards.

Our inspiration for this recipe is a shop bought card our chef Ann received earlier this year.

As crafters we generally appreciate cards more than most, especially handmade ones, so how will this card inspire you to create? Our chefs were inspired in a variety of ways, from making gift-bags to a suitcase shaped card, or maybe your will use the grid placement of the bags on the card. You could do a layout of the contents of your handbag, your love of shopping for handbags, base your inspiration on the colour pallet even, it's entirely up to you!

As always we look forward to seeing what your creations are and are grateful for your comments sharing links to them here on our blog. Every comment linking to a ChickenSoup inspired project will be entered into our monthly draw and we are please to have Lynn and The Craft Emporium as our sponsor for the month of September. Happy crafting everyone, and you may want to sneak back here to the blog on Monday when we announce our Design Team call!

And the winner is....

Well the weather for August may not have been all we'd hoped for but the beautiful layouts and cards created by our SOUPer follows has certainly warmed our hearts. Take a trip down mutual appreciation avenue at what you have all been creating during August using Recipe's 6,7,8 and 9.

Recipe #8

This weeks delicious recipe is supplied by Lousette, who was inspired by the simple graphic layout and the use of text as a design feature on this record cover.  The large and colourful alphabets draw the eye in to focus on the smaller, black and white photograph.
Here's what the cooks did this week, we can't wait to see how this cover inspires you.  Don't forget to leave a link to your project in order for you to be eligible for this months prize draw sponsored by

Recipe #7

Childrens books have fantastic illustrations which can be used as a springboard for our creative efforts. This weeks recipe is supplied by Andrea and taken from the well known childrens story of the "The Princess and the Pea".
The cooks had a lot of fun working with this recipe, some taking inspiration from the layers, some from the colours and some including the theme as in Heathers sleepy lil' princess layout.

Don't forget everyone who plays along with the challenges this month will be eligible to enter the August prize draw sponsored by Pickleberry Papercrafts.

Recipe #6

Welcome to August everyone, presenting out first recipe for the month provided by our international chef Heather.

How will you be inspired by this? Will you be drawn to the scalloped edges? to the soft femine colours? or will you use the placement of the image and fonts as the basis for your layout or card? We look forward to seeing what you all create. As always we'd love for you to leave comments on this thread for a chance to win a prize by this month's sponsor Pickleberry Papercrafts.
